Emergency First Response: Training on techniques and theory of first aid.

 

The goal of Emergency First Response training is to build the confidence of lay rescuers to be more responsive to a medical emergency. Participants learn to follow simple steps to administer first aid and practice practicing techniques in a relaxed learning environment. All courses are supported by self-study textbooks, videos and quick reference cards to enhance learning and get started straight.

EFR courses meet the requirements for CPR training and first aid for the Level 2 course and all professional levels. Most Instructors are also Emergency First Response Instructors.

The following EFR courses are based on internationally recognized guidelines for medical care

- Each test is scored out of 20. The minimum total to be received is 180 (without

qualifying marks, ie less than 5 for all events).

- The benefit of the practical part is valid during 9 months and 2 sessions of

catch-up, if the candidate has obtained at least 80 points in the theoretical part,

even with an eliminatory mark.

- The practical tests must all take place within 4 days

maximum, with identical equipment for all events (combination,

fins, weighting calculated for an apparent weight of zero at 3 meters depth)

2.2.2. Theoretical tests

Written tests :

* Problems: Resolution of at least one dive table problem (Duration approx.

30 '- Coefficient 3)

* Accidents: Symptoms and immediate treatment of diving accidents (Duration

approx. 30 '- Coefficient 3)

* Physics: Practical notions applied to diving (Duration about 30 '- Coefficient

1)

* Physiology: Practical concepts applied to diving (Duration about 30 '-

Coefficient 1)

Oral or written tests:

* Regulation (Duration about 15 '- Coefficient 2)

Oral tests:

* Material: Practical and theoretical notions (Duration about 45 '- Coefficient 2)

- Each test is scored out of 20. The minimum total to be received is 120 (without

count the qualifying scores).

- The benefit of the practical part is valid during 9 months and 2 sessions of

catch-up, if the candidate has obtained at least 120 points in the theoretical part

even with an eliminatory mark.

- Nota Bene :

* Autonomous level IV diver sessions are organized either at

the level of the club, department or region.

* The jury must be composed of at least two level 4 supervisors including at least one

regional instructor delegated by the Regional Technical Commission.

Theory

Register for the PADI Scuba Diver course

 

-You have little time available, but a crazy desire to become a patented diver?

-The Scuba Diver PADI patent is for you!

 

This course requires less time than the PADI Open Water Diver course, as it covers only the first three of the five theoretical knowledge development chapters, the first three of the five pool sessions, and the first two of the four training dives. in the wild, resulting in limited certification. If you want to dive with a dive guide or if you have little time to devote to your diving license, consider becoming a PADI Scuba Diver.

The PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer qualification sets you apart as a diving instructor taking continuing education seriously and pledging to teach a variety of courses. (Potential employers appreciate these characteristics). Being MSDT means that you have the experience and certifications to offer all the training required for the diver to become Master Scuba Diver - the highest level in recreational diving.

 

All PADI Instructors who have certified at least 25 PADI divers and are PADI Specialty Instructor certified in five specialties can be Master Scuba Diver Trainer. This level is the next step in the professional ladder, it is also a prerequisite for the IDC Staff Instructor as well as for many levels of TecRec Instructor.

The PADI Course Directors are PADI Master Instructors who have made the move to join an elite group of instructor trainers. The Course Directors conduct the PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) and other instructor-level courses. They are the leaders and the most influential models in the scuba diving industry. It is the highest and most respected professional level qualification in recreational diving. To become a Course Director you must be selected through a competitive application process that examines your educational experience and goals and earn a place in the Course Director Training Course (CDTC).

 

PADI Master Instructors who have proven pedagogical experience and have attended several PADI Instructor (IDC) trainings can apply. You must also be an EFR Instructor Trainer, have registered at least 250 dives, have experience of a job in a PADI Dive Center or Resort and meet the other requirements listed on the most recent CDTC application available for download on the PADI Pros Site.
