Emergency First Response Instructor Course:
During the Emergency First Response Instructor course, you will hone your Emergency Responder techniques and focus on developing your instructional skills to teach those skills to others. The Instructor course gives you the additional training needed to teach Emergency First Response “Primary Care” (CPR), “Secondary Care”, “Child Care” and “Workplace First Aid” courses. ". Using a teaching method supported by multimedia for personal study, classroom sessions, and hands-on teaching assignments, you will learn to conduct Emergency First Response courses.
The Instructor course covers the specific objectives and required performance of the "Primary care", "Secondary care", "Child care" courses and teaches you to structure learning, to know the requirements of the training based on the performance and your role as an Instructor in the learning environment. You will also learn how to motivate students, assess their knowledge, present course content effectively, become proficient in developing student hands-on sessions, and present an effective scenario for learning.
Prerequisite:
To enroll in the Emergency First Response Instructor course, you must be 18 years of age and have successfully completed CPR and first aid training for adults, children and infants within the past 24 months or be a medical professional, such as a physician, emergency physician or nurse.
